Where Does Cityhood Proponents Get Their Money
The Arden Arcade Cityhood committee is well-funded from special interest groups and outsiders who are spending their citizens taxpayer dollars (the Cities of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, and Folsom have contribute more than $100,000 from their general fund to the Arden Arcade Cityhood Committee) for a cityhood initiative that does not even impact their own community.
In addition, the cityhood committee has taken $30,000 from the Fulton-El Camino Park and Recreation District and The Arden Manor Park and Recreation District. The money they have taken from these two park districts were to be used solely for park programs and maintenance. What is even more unfortunate is if you read the minutes from these two park district boards they are having to cut back programs due to lack of funds. How dare they spend our money on this risky proposition and not the parks in which the money was intended.
If we are to be successful, we need to raise money in our efforts to educate those affected citizens that cityhood is not in our best interest. Your contribution will help us spread and communicate our message.
